TATA Empire!

Image
Hello! Now I am not an engineering student, but an employed engineer. After receiving the offer letter from TATA Consultancy Services, I'm now a member of TATA Group. :-) Having done engineering in the branch of computers, I have known TCS to be the India's largest and most successful IT company. Going further, browsing through the net, I'm indeed amazed at the presence of brand TATA in almost every sector! As per the below website, TATA group has a company starting with every other alphabet! :-) http://www.tata.com/company/index.aspx?sectid=21vxqwHGkoo And the tagline, 'Leadership with Trust' truly defines what TATA Group stands for, as we can see huge growth over the period. Happy to be part of TATA Group. So much to learn, so much to deliver, Excited!

Lister Technologies: First Interview Experience!

We have reached the final year of engineering, already! It’s placement time at college. There were many start-ups coming in, but like many I was waiting for the biggies to come. :-) Lister Technologies. Lister was posted as the next company to visit us on the notice board. I was rather reluctant but finally decided to give it a shot, thanks to my friend’s persistence. There were some prerequisites, those above 8.5 CGPA  (85%)  could only apply. I attended the pre-placement talk; it is basically an e-billing company, located only in Chennai and believe me, it was addressed by the CEO of the company himself!  Round 1 :  Aptitude test.  It is the most scary part for all those easy goers, who qualify for the direct interview round of TCS  (above 75%).  The test was scheduled at 9 in the morning, but commenced at say 9:30. When I received my Question paper, the numerical section had no options to gamble. But then, as I started solving, it was fine. I could say, 'try' was

Ladakh: Flight Experience.

Ladakh was an awesome experience.  It has been an year since we had been to Leh. Memories of Leh are still up fresh in my mind. The beauty and peace of an environment found there can never be forgotten. The flight to Ladakh itself is an experience to be  shared. We   had been to Kashmir for a week before we boarded the flight to Leh. At Srinagar airport, it took almost two hours, underwent 5-6 security checks to board an hour flight to Leh. I was casually passing time, eating chocolates, and switching channels on the TV in front of me, finally stuck to   watching  a   movie. Having  gone with parents, I had no trouble or fight for a window seat! :D As I see through the window, it was just awesome. Frankly, I wanted to shout it aloud "AWESOME "!! The peaks below were so beautiful, an amazing site to watch. I was thrilled and rejoicing every moment of it. It was as though the flight was touching the peaks, like in science-fiction movies. At times, my love for c

Ladakh: Sindhu Darshan.

Day 2 on the tour!  Leh is a beautiful place with amazing scenic view. Anywhere and everywhere! A striking feature that one could find in Leh is – Mountains covered with snow peaks on one end of the city, whereas the other is just sand hills with no trees at all. It was more like a cold desert. Leh is about 12,000 ft high, so to get used to atmosphere out there is quiet a task. A minimum rest of about 24 hours is more of compulsion than a necessity. We took a day rest, felt fine. A totally unpredictable climate makes the stay bit uneasy. A minute you think its all normal and slip into a t-shirt, you realize it’s high time that you put on a coat or two to beat the cold. Plus the inexperience of staying at such high altitudes make things change pretty uncomfortable. To start off exploring the places, we went to Sindhu Darshan Festival, celebration of Sindhu River, which gave India its name. Also, mine! ;) Sindhu Darshan:  To mark the importance of River Sindhu,
